Who

Yellow Lizard is a creative agency known for delivering impactful educational content. I collaborated with them on a campaign for a South African maritime training institute aimed at introducing young audiences to marine careers and safety.

Illustration

I was commissioned to design a unique character mascot from scratch for an educational campaign aimed at promoting marine awareness among youth. The result was Maverick , a friendly, gear-equipped whale character tailored to appeal to younger audiences while reflecting the marine theme.

Animation

In addition to the illustration, I animated Maverick for use in explainer videos and digital content. The animations brought the character to life and helped deliver the campaign’s messages in a fun, engaging way.
